Peace
agreement Shimon Peres quits Labour 30/11/05 |
Israeli Labour leader Shimon
Peres announced he was quitting "party politics" today, ending
more than 60 years in the Israeli Labour party, and around 40 years as a
Member of the Knesset. He plans to use the next few years to push for a
peace agreement with the Palestinians, and help the development of the Negev
and Galilee regions. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon recently withdrew from the
ruling Likud party, to form his own new political party called Kadima, that
he hopes will formulate a peace deal with the Palestinians. Shimon Peres
stated that he believes Ariel Sharon is the only person in Israel capable of
demolishing the settlements, and bringing a lasting deal with the
Palestinians.
Quote: "The veteran politician noted the words of Israel's first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, who, after quitting Mapai and establishing the Rafi Party, said he preferred the state to the party. "When I spoke with Sharon, we discussed the creation of a regional triangle of Israel, the PA and Jordan that would enjoy a special status in the European Union. We also spoke about the importance of opening a dialogue with the US to ensure the safety of the region from the Iranian nuclear threat and from rampant terrorism," he said. Another interesting piece of information that Peres divulges is the plan for a Middle East regional bloc that will enjoy a special status with the European Union. Europe once again has its hand in the developments of the Middle East, showing us that the fulfilment of Daniel 9, where the Antichrist confirms his peace covenant with the region, must be close at hand. Interestingly, Shimon Peres' surname means "division", something that the Antichrist, and these Israeli politicians are seeking to do to God's land, in order to make peace with their enemies. What a price Israel will have to pay for that "peace"! Daniel 5:28 Source Jerusalem Post |

Wars and
rumours of wars E3 and Solana call for Iran nuclear talks 29/11/05 |
European leaders, namely the E3 (Britain, France and Germany), backed by
Javier Solana, the High Representative for European Common, Foreign and
Security Policy, have called for renewed talks with Iran over its
determination to complete its nuclear
programme. Iran has recently resumed Uranium conversion, a process which
could provide Iran with enough nuclear material to create a bomb by 2007.
Europe describe the development as disappointing, but remained firm in its
belief that talks were the only way forward. Javier Solana drafted an
official letter to Iran, co-signed by the E3, calling for talks, but with no
fixed date for resumption.
Quote: "TEHRAN, Iran / BARCELONA, Spain -- Britain, France and Germany agreed on Sunday to exploratory talks with Iran on resuming negotiations over its disputed nuclear program, which broke down in August, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said. "A letter has been conveyed to Iran this afternoon ... from the three countries and myself. We offered Iran to have conversations, dialogue to see if we have enough common basis to start negotiations," he told reporters at a Euro-Mediterranean summit in Barcelona. Source Moscow Times |

agreement Solana hails EuroMed as great success 29/11/05 |
In contrast to what many Arab nations felt about the EuroMed summit in
Barcelona, Javier Solana hailed the 10th anniversary as a great
success. Even though Turkey and the Palestinian Authority were the only
two nations whose leaders attended the meeting, both British Prime Minister
Tony Blair and Javier Solana lauded the agreement they had reached with the
Arab nations over terrorism, and praised
the progress that had been made since the Barcelona Process began in 1995.
Quote: "It is true that the Barcelona Process was born out of the Oslo peace talks. And clearly the absence of peace between Israelis and Palestinians casts a shadow over our work. But Barcelona was about supporting the peace process. Moreover, we Europeans have been working non-stop to promote a peace accord. We have long been by far the largest donor to the Palestinians. We are now also engaged in the diplomatic process through the Quartet and in the area of security. Take our training efforts for the Palestinian police plus our new mission as third party monitors at a border-crossing in Gaza. These are big changes since 1995 when Europe was not directly engaged, either diplomatically or operationally, in the peace process. Source Turkish Press, EU |

agreement EU: Hamas must recognise Israel 28/11/05 |
The European Union's influence in the Middle East peace process continues to
grow. EU ambassador to Israel, Ramiro Cibrian-Uzal, has stated that Hamas
must recognise Israel's right
to exist if it wishes to be taken off the EU's list of terrorist
organizations. Hamas was recognised by the EU as a terrorist organization
only recently, causing its assets to be frozen throughout Europe. But the
European Union shied away from condemning the group outright, with whom it
still maintains high-level contacts.
Ramiro Cibrian-Uzal also praised the success of the EU Rafah border agreement, and stated that if the parties agreed, the EU could be involved in the re-opening of the Gaza airport and seaports. Quote: "He said that the EU had long disagreed with Israel on this issue. The EU recognizes the pre-1967 line as the border. The EU believes that "international borders can only be changed by mutual agreement," he said. The EU, therefore, would only recognize a change to those borders only after they were part of an agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians. In allowing for the possibility of an agreement that would change that border, Cibrian-Uzal was gentler in tone than than the EU draft policy report on east Jerusalem, which was leaked to the media late last week. Cibrian-Uzal said he could not comment on a report that had yet to be approved, but noted that the Council at it's last meeting spoke of its concern regarding east Jerusalem. Although the EU's influence continues to grow in the region, paving the way for the Antichrist's seven year covenant, Israel will refuse any deal regarding the final status of East Jerusalem. Israel believes that it has a legal right to possess East Jerusalem - being the spoils of a war initiated by the Arab nations, an historical right - having over 3000 years of Jewish history in the city, and the right of security. It is this Jewish desire to hang on to Jerusalem come-what-may, that I believe will pit the Antichrist and his armies against the Jews, and ultimately against Christ, during the last half of the tribulation period. Empire EU Commission threatens member states over CIA leak 28/11/05 |
European Commissioner Franco Frattini has warned EU member states that they
could have their voting rights within the European
Commission suspended, if the unsubstantiated leak proves to be true,
that European states helped build secret CIA jails for Al-Qaeda prisoners.
The European Commission - a band of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, forms
the real legal authority of the European Union. Europe is not a democracy in
the true sense of the word, it's a modern-day feudal system.
Quote: "He said a suspension of voting rights would be justified if any country is found to have breached the bloc's founding principles of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Such a move would be unprecedented. I personally don't understand what all the fuss is about. The CIA already has secret airbases stationed throughout Europe. Classified experimental aircraft flights out of one such base in Scotland is believed to have been responsible for the Chinook helicopter disaster on the Mull of Kintyre a number of years ago, which wiped out dozens of senior Northern Ireland security personnel. The government covered it up, and blamed the crash on pilot error. The UK has also been criticized by the UN for already breaching the UN Charter on Human Rights, by calling for a possible 3 months detention without trial for those only suspected of planning to carry out terrorist atrocities... Perhaps this is none other than Europe flexing its muscles, in order to bring down US dominance in the region. Source BBC |

Peace
agreement EuroMed ends under a dark cloud 28/11/05 |
The EuroMed summit, co-hosted by British Prime Minister Tony Blair in
Barcelona, concludes its 10th anniversary today under what seems to be a
dark cloud. The event was intended to increase European and Arab cooperation
in the Middle East, but only two nations outside the European Union actually
turned up for the talks. Regional disputes such as Iran's recent
anti-Semitic pronouncements and nuclear ambitions, along with Syria's recent
assassination of a leading Lebanese politician probably had something to do
with that.
On the table for discussion were a Middle East free trade zone, along with Turkey's proposed membership application to the European Union. European leaders also sought a condemnation of terrorism from the Islamic world, but Arab leaders insisted terrorism is a legitimate means of struggle against any occupying force (e.g., against America in Iraq, Israel). Javier Solana clinched a last minute fudge - sorry I mean a last minute "deal" - with the Middle East nations over the condemnation of terrorism... Quote: "Diplomats said the compromise came when the EU dropped its insistence on saying the right to self-determination did not justify terrorism, and Arab countries dropped their demand to spell out a right to resist foreign occupation. Of course EuroMed is only designed to be a supportive framework of agreements for any further peace initiatives, like the European Neighbourhood Policy, which is to be confirmed for a seven year period on January 1st, 2007. The ENP offers states financial incentives in exchange for political reforms that are favourable to the EU. Quote: "As the Partnership celebrates this anniversary milestone and prepares to enter its second decade, it is significantly reinforced and complemented by the European Neighbourhood Policy. This will allow further progress between countries willing to agree on concrete commitments and benchmarks. Source Jerusalem Post, ABC News, Europa |

Earthquakes Killer quake strikes Iran 27/11/05 |
Iran became the second country to experience a killer earthquake in as many
days. China
was struck yesterday by a quake measuring around 5.7 on the Richter Scale.
There were reports of around 14 dead, and four hundred injured. Thousands of
homes were also levelled by the earthquake. Around 10 people have died in
the latest Iran earthquake, which measured around 5.9 on the Richter Scale,
with around 50 injured.
Quote: "A 5.9-magnitude earthquake leveled seven villages in southern Iran Sunday, killing 10 people and injuring more than 50, provincial officials said. Heidar Alishvandi, the governor of Qeshm Island, was quoted by state-run television as saying that rescue teams were deployed to the affected areas. Source Jerusalem Post |

Terror apathy BBC rapped over Arafat report 26/11/05 |
The BBC received
hundreds of complaints from viewers last year, after a reporter started to
cry as she saw PA Chairman Arafat being airlifted to a French hospital,
where he later died of internal bleeding. The reporter, Barbara Plett, was
initially cleared by the head of the BBC complaints office (what a
surprise), but a listener appealed the judgement and the complaint was
partially upheld by the board of governors.
Quote: "The committee rejected the assertion by the person who appealed that the report was a "tearful eulogy" and a "flagrant violation" of editorial guidelines. It said Ms Plett's report was balanced by references to Mr Arafat's "obvious failings". But the governors concluded that the reference to crying did breach the guidelines on due impartiality. It is possibly a sad fact of life that a news corporation that spans the globe can portray a man, who spent his life causing conflict in Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine, who was personally responsible for the loss of thousands of innocent lives - including those of his own people, who was single-handedly responsible for the collapse of the Camp David peace process, who called for Israel to be driven into the sea, as a much misunderstood, peace-loving dictator. Perhaps it was the uniqueness of the man, that was able to manipulate every situation for his own ends, or perhaps it's just the mark of a corporation that's more interesting in selling a story than it is broadcasting the truth. agreement Solana admits 7 year peace deal 25/11/05 |
On the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, Javier Solana, the High
Representative for the European Common, Foreign and Security Policy has
outlined his own personal
thoughts on progress that has been made by the European Union since the
process began. The Barcelona Process is a framework of agreements with 10 Mediterranean
countries aimed at bringing stability to the region through economic and
political reforms. Tony Blair and Javier Solana will host the conference in
Barcelona this Sunday and Monday.
Quote: "The Euro-Med partnership is not the only international framework for multilateral cooperation with this region. But it is the most developed and in many ways preferred one. The reason is that it promotes both security and reform simultaneously. We reject those who insist that we should sequence things, saying that either conflict resolution or political reform must come first. Barcelona is about pursuing both reform and security at the same time. True to his form, Javier Solana is "all things to all people". He once stated that the keys to his success were to never make enemies, and never ask a question you do not know or like the answer to. According to the book of Daniel, the Antichrist will also be a flatterer (Daniel 11:21), and will have a mouth speaking "great things" (Daniel 7:8). Quote: "Many Mediterranean countries say they want to advance on the path of political reform but that it should be home-grown and that they need help. I agree. So I am pleased that the EU will launch a so-called governance facility. This will not be a cosmetic initiative, but one that, over seven years, will offer several hundred million euros to those countries that are making the greatest efforts concerning governance reform. They can then spend the extra money on the priorities they have set themselves. This is what I call a true partnership for political reform. Perhaps it's a coincidence, or perhaps not. The next European Union budget will last from 2007 to 2013, a seven year period. And the European Neighbourhood Policy, another EU-Mediterranean agreement with 16 nations is also to last for the same period, with a confirmation date for all countries set for January 1st, 2007. The Bible also prophesied in Daniel 9, that the Antichrist, the head of the European Union, will make a peace agreement with many Middle Eastern nations that will last for seven years ("one week" of years). Daniel states the agreement is only to be "confirmed" by the Antichrist, and so the peace agreement as spoken of in Daniel may already be in place. Daniel 9:27 Source Haaretz |

Jerusalem Brits accuse Israel of trying to annex East Jerusalem 25/11/05 |
A secret
dossier prepared by British diplomats in East Jerusalem has revealed
that the British government believes Israel is trying to "annex"
East Jerusalem from the Palestinians before any final agreement is reached.
The document will be presented to the EU foreign ministers' conference this
week.
Quote: "The document also claimed that Israel was acting to expand the settlement of Jews in east Jerusalem, an act that the British diplomats claimed contradicted international law and Israel's commitments to the Road Map. The document also said that Israel was using the security fence to annex Palestinian territories in the Old City and its surroundings. All these developments are in complete fulfilment of Biblical prophecy. The book of Zechariah states that in the last days God would make the city of Jerusalem a burdensome stone, and a cup of trembling for all nations. With the scourge of Islamic terror now afflicting all nations, it is clear that unless the status of Jerusalem can be resolved, the situation in the Middle East can only deteriorate. This is exactly what the Bible predicts will happen, and that God Himself will gather all nations against Jerusalem to take it by force from the Israeli's. Zechariah 14:1-3 What worries me as a Britton, is that my own country will find itself on the wrong side of this battle. But praise the Lord that those who are saved are on the victory side! agreement Blair to co-host EuroMed summit 10 year anniversary 24/11/05 |
Current European President Tony Blair is planning to co-host the Euromed
summit this Sunday and Monday, marking 10 years since the start of the
Middle East project which is aimed at bringing stability to the region.
Spear-headed by Javier Solana, Euromed - also known as the Barcelona
Process, is a special framework of EU agreements with 10 Middle East
nations. The Barcelona Process, it is claimed, is not a peace process in
itself, but is designed to help the implementation of other peace agreements
in the Middle East. The nations involved are Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.
But it's been reported that Israel, Jordan and Syria are not planning to
attend the event this year.
Quote: "Europe has long had a huge economic role in the Mideast peace process -- principally as the biggest aid donor to the Palestinians -- and has for some time claimed that its political clout is on the rise. EU officials are keen to point to a concrete example of this in EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana's role in helping broker this month's Gaza border deal -- with EU monitors heading to help police the Rafah crossing this week. With Euromed, the European Neighbourhood Policy, EUPOL COPPS police mission in Gaza, the Rafah border agreement with EU monitors, it's clear Europe continues to increase its influence in the Middle East region. Palestinians believe a peace agreement brokered by America is no longer possible, after the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. Israeli's don't trust the Europeans, for they are seen as pro-Palestinian, but they are the only regional power that is capable of bringing about some sort of agreement. The Bible states that the head of the European Union will eventually confirm an agreement with many Middle Eastern nations that will bring a measure of peace for a short time, but will fail catastrophically, resulting in the greatest time of trouble the world has ever seen. Empire EU usurps criminal law from states 24/11/05 |
The European Union published a new list of offences
and penalties yesterday, that it plans to force on member states to enshrine
in law. The European Commission - a group of unelected politicians that
oversee the implementation of EU legislation, have decided to use the powers
granted to them by the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. There are
seven offences that the European Commission has decided to enforce on
European states immediately, but this list is expected to be increased at a
later date.
Quote: "The announcement is strongly opposed by Britain and many other member states. The Commission is using powers granted by the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, the EU’s supreme court, and governments fear that there is little they can do to prevent it. The court ruled that the EU had the right to require member states to create criminal offences, and could dictate the length of prison sentences. Although we already know the UK is required to adopt many EU laws into the statute books, this will be the first time in UK legal history that the country will have no sovereign right to decide what constitutes a crime, and what the punishment should be. Empire New German Chancellor seeks to revive EU Constitution 23/11/05 |
The recently elected German Chancellor, along with her new Foreign Minister,
Frank-Walter Steinmeier, believe that the EU
Constitution should be revived as soon as possible. The new Chancellor
also hopes to bring economic reforms to the European Union, after European
Ministers failed to agree on the budget for 2007-2013 period.
Quote: "Speaking in Berlin at a ceremony where he took over from outgoing (foreign) minister Joschka Fischer, Mr Steinmeier said he expected "the task to fall to Germany to deal with the constitution" during Berlin's EU presidency in the first half of 2007. He said Germany – one of the EU's strongest supporters of the constitution – "would seek to advance progress" on ensuring the treaty was eventually adopted. The EU Constitution, which would create the official role of European President for a term lasting 5 years, and a European Foreign Minister for a term lasting the lifetime of the European Commission, was rejected by the French and Dutch public in a spectacular fashion in May of this year. Politicians claimed if voters rejected the constitution, they would face everything from national humiliation, political irrelevance, financial chaos and Europe being set back years. But in the end voters weren't prepared to sign on the dotted line, and as a result ruined the politicians' dream. Javier Solana is already tipped to become the European Foreign Minister when the Constitution is ratified. Source Financial Times |

Binge Britain Commons passes bill to permit 24 hour drinking hours 23/11/05 |
Legislation was passed by MPs today in the House of Commons, changing the
law on public
house opening hours. Pubs wishing to serve alcohol on their premises
after 11 o'clock can now apply for a licence from the government. Earlier in
the year, the bill was condemned by the police and emergency services which
are already stretched to the limits cleaning up after British alcoholics
after they are thrown out onto the streets. Now instead of alcoholism being
a nightly problem, certain areas may find themselves with a 24 hour
hangover.
Quote: "Shadow culture secretary Theresa May said the logic of the government's plans was "absurd". She told BBC News: "The government has got it the wrong way round. "They should have been doing something about binge drinking before looking at extending the licensing hours." This bill is only one of several demoralizing laws passed by the Labour government this Christmas. The government is expected to pass laws regarding the legalization of gay marriage (in all but name) and the controversial Incitement to Religious Hatred bill before the New Year. The Labour government have also passed laws pardoning on-the-run terrorists in Northern Ireland, while hypocritically calling for legislation to be passed to detain those suspected of planning terrorism for up to three months on the mainland - which may be in breach of Human Rights law. It seems if you want to be a terrorist, Northern Ireland's the place to be. Isaiah 10:1-3 Ecclesiastes 10:16 Source BBC |

Wormwood Chinese city poisoned by Benzene 23/11/05 |
Chinese authorities revealed the real reason why they cut off mains water
supplies to Harbin yesterday. A chemical
explosion has polluted a major river with tonnes of Benzene,
contaminating drinking water. They don't expect the mains to be back on any
time soon. Meanwhile authorities are transporting as much bottled water as
they can into the city for the starving millions. The explosion killed five
people and the toxic substance has devastated local wildlife.
Quote: "The Beijing News showed pictures of dead fish washed up on the banks of the Songhua river near Jilin city, but the authorities said there was no sign that chemicals in the river had contaminated the water supply. Source BBC |

Wormwood China shuts water mains to major city 22/11/05 |
There are conflicting reports coming out of China as to why authorities have
closed water
mains to a major Chinese city, Harbin. The city will be without water
for four days, and panic-buying of bottled water and other drinks has
spread. Some news networks are stating that the government is carrying out
important maintenance work, while Xinhua agency believes the water has
become contaminated by a chemical blast.
Quote: "The order to cut off the water comes after a 13 November explosion at a petrochemical plant in Jilin city, about 380km (230 miles) up the Songhua river from Harbin. Harbin, in China's north-east Liaoning province, is home to at least 3 million people. Some analysts believe the next war could be fought over water. While we are not told this in the Bible, water is getting more scarce in the Middle East and Revelation 8 describes how an event during the Tribulation period will contaminate much water killing many people. The God of
Forces Solana's military deal struck with EU nations 21/11/05 |
Javier Solana, the High Representative for the European Common, Foreign and
Security Policy, has successfully brokered a deal aimed at streamlining the acquisition
of military equipment for European forces. European contractors will now be
able to compete for sales of arms to those nations that wish to take part,
bringing competitiveness and cost-effectiveness into an area that has
already created a black hole in the European budget (e.g. Euro fighter,
Iraq, etc).
Quote: ""This is a landmark decision," said Javier Solana, the EU's foreign and security policy representative. "It will mean a better deal for European taxpayers and for their armed forces. And it is a vital step for ensuring that our defence industries remain globally competitive." Currently more than half of the 30bn euro (£20bn, $35bn) annual arms procurements in the EU are closed to competition. European leaders hope that more competition will encourage the restructuring of the EU's fragmented national defence industries. Javier Solana, as chief of the European Defence Agency, is keen to streamline EU forces in order to implement his 2010 Headline Goal - a military group capable of being launched anywhere in the world, just five days after a decision by the European Council. EU countries are already required to provide forces to serve in the interests of the Union. If Solana can get countries to pool their defence forces, and this deal may be the start of that, he can successfully create a European Army which will serve his interests as future EU Foreign Minister and/or President. Empire EU agrees to Bosnia entry talks 21/11/05 |
The European Union
has agreed to talks with Bosnian leaders, paving the way for a Bosnian
application for EU membership. The EU has stipulated that Bosnia must
complete political reforms, including compliance with the UN war crimes
tribunal. The talks come on the 10th anniversary of the Bosnian conflict,
which created millions of refugees, hundreds of schools and hospitals
bombed, and key bridges destroyed making life in the Yugoslavian countries
unbearable.
Quote: "Serbia and Montenegro began talks on a stabilisation and association agreement (SAA) last month, and Albania hopes to complete them soon. Croatia is one stage further, having already begun EU membership talks, while Macedonia expects to be granted EU candidate status next month. All the Balkan countries hope to follow in the footsteps of Slovenia, the former Yugoslav republic which joined the EU last year. Israel is also hoping to become an associate member of the European club. There are currently 25 member states of the European Union. A further eleven countries are currently in dialogue with the European Union to become members. These are Bulgaria and Romania (will become members in 2007), Croatia and Turkey (are currently engaged in negotiations), Macedonia, Norway, Switzerland, Albania, Tunisia, Serbia and Montenegro, Morocco. |

Israel Sharon to quit Likud 21/11/05 |
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon has announced that he is leaving the Likud party to start his own
party. The decision comes after the leader of the Labour party - Shimon
Peres, whom Likud is in coalition with, lost his election battle for
leadership to a hardliner - Amir Peretz, who is against Ariel Sharon's
policy of disengagement. This has forced the governments hand to declare new
elections within 90 days. Ariel Sharon can no longer count on support from
his own party, and the only way he can stay in power as Prime Minister would
be to form his own party. Ariel Sharon apparently feels that he is the only
Israeli capable of making peace with the Palestinians, for he knows the land
and will be able to get the best deal possible.
Quote: "Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin explained the prime minister's decision: "Sharon understood that he was going in a direction that the Likud couldn't accept, both politically and in his taking of independent initiatives, and now he's chosen a very risky path." "There must be elections as soon as possible," Rivlin stressed in an interview with Channel 2 TV. Source Jerusalem Post |

Empire EU flag turns 50 this week 18/11/05 |
The flag of the European Union
celebrates its fiftieth birthday this week. The flag of twelve stars on a
blue sea, which according to the official European line represents
"completeness and unity", was actually designed by Javier Solana's
grandfather, Salvador de Madariaga, who worked for European Unity in
the League of Nations.
Quote: "Its original design comes from Salvador de Madariaga, the founder of the Bruges-based College of Europe, with de Madariaga's stars representing the peoples of Europe and the circle, unity. But if the twelve stars represent unity, why then is there so much disunity in the European "Union"? Why does Scripture state in Daniel, that the members of this last world empire would not cleave one to another? Dan 2:43 The twelve stars actually represent the "Marian crown" of Revelation. The Catholic Church believes the "woman" crowned with twelve stars in the book of Revelation represents Mary. This is why you will often find many depictions of Mary with a crown on her head. Idols of Mary in many Catholic chapels may also be crowned, and once an idol receives a crown the Catholic church states it must never be removed. Because the EU flag bears the twelve stars of the Marian crown, the Catholic church believes it still rides the beast (Europe). The woman crowned with twelve stars in the book of Revelation is actually a picture of Israel - not Mary, through whom the Messiah came, and the twelve stars represent the twelve tribes of Israel. False Prophet Israeli President meets Pope in Vatican 17/11/05 |
Israeli President Moshe Katsav today became the first Israeli
leader ever to meet the Pope in the Vatican, potentially yet another
prophetically-charged event in the Middle East, just within the past week.
Pope Benedict, who ascended "Peter's throne" in the Vatican after
the death of his predecessor, is seen as pro-Israel. But the new Pope hasn't
always enjoyed good relations with Israel, when the Pontiff refused to
condemn bombings in Israel shortly after the London bombings. Ratzinger
believed these bombings were a result of Israel's "aggressive foreign
policy" towards the Palestinians, even though innocent lives were taken
in cold blood.
Quote: "The Israelis have hailed the occasion as one of great symbolic importance, as relations between the two states have often been fraught over the decades. The Israelis have called Pope Benedict XVI a "true friend of Israel". President Katsav has invited him to follow in the footsteps of the late John Paul II by going to Israel on a state visit. Many Christians (and many Catholics too) believe that the last Pope - which some say could be this one or the one following Ratzinger according to St Malachi's prophecy, will fill the role of the False Prophet of Revelation. Pope John Paul was reported as saying that the "smoke of Satan has entered the sanctuary (the Vatican)". After all world religions are unified under one umbrella (possibly the United Religions Initiative, along with many other groups), the False Prophet will become the world's spiritual leader - based in Jerusalem, and will direct all peoples to worship the Antichrist, the head of the European Union. Revelation 13:11-12 The fact that the false prophet has two horns like a lamb and yet spake as a dragon signifies that outwardly he will portray himself as a benevolent - perhaps even Christian leader, but his real devotion will be towards Satan himself. Revived Roman Empire EU border force taking shape 17/11/05 |
The EU is planning to send a 50-man security team to the Rafah border within
the next week, called EUBAM
(European Union Border Assistance Mission). Heading up the mission will be
an Italian Police General Pietro Pistolese who has experience in Albania and
Hebron, and and Irish Police Superintendent that has served in Northern
Ireland. The EU hasn't yet decided whether the group will be armed or not.
Quote: "Peres, who met Wednesday with visiting Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos, said EU-BAM "constitutes an entrance of the EU into the Middle East in a more political sense than ever before." In a related development, EU Foreign Policy chief Javier Solana announced that Jonathan McIvor will head the EU Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories, code-named EUPOL COPPS. EUPOL COPPS was established by a decision of the EU last week, with a mandate to help the PA "take responsibility for law and order" and improve its civil and law enforcement capacity. Peace Agreement Middle East peace 6 months away 16/11/05 |
That's according to Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, in an interview with
the Jerusalem
Post. The historic "Rafah agreement", which will allow Gazan
Palestinians to control their own border for the first time, has proved that
peace is possible, and has paved the way for a full peace agreement with
Israel, which could only be as much as six months away.
Quote: "On the heels of the historic deal in Rafah that would see Palestinians controlling an international border for the first time, he maintained, "We do not need more than six months to see a historic treaty with Israel." Noting that he was speaking on behalf of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Saeb Erekat stressed, "We made our historic compromise. We recognize your right to exist as a state with secure and recognized borders." A possible peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians in six months, the EU already heavily involved in the process, from monitoring the border to its pledge yesterday to increase PA police force training through the EUCOPPS programme, and a seven year covenant (European Neighbourhood Policy) with many nations to be confirmed on January 1st, 2007. Even if this isn't the final peace agreement mentioned in Daniel, everything is falling into place. The Bible states that a peace agreement in the Middle East, brokered by the European Union, would mark the beginning of the seven year tribulation period. Source Jerusalem Post |

Peace Agreement Gaza border to be re-opened on 25th November 15/11/05 |
The Israelis and the Palestinians finally brokered the deal
to re-open the Rafah border with Egypt today, after several days of stalled
talks. US Secretary of State Rice prolonged her Middle East tour to try and
spur the two parties into making an agreement. The border will be officially
opened on the 25th of November (my birthday!). Civilian traffic will be
allowed through for the first month, with heavier traffic following later. A
joint Israeli-Palestinian team will monitor the border via a live link
several miles away.
Quote: "Announcing the deal in a joint appearance with international envoys Javier Solana and James Wolfensohn, she urged Israel to allow Palestinians to start rebuilding the airport in Gaza. "I am encouraging Israel to consider to allow construction to resume," she said. Source BBC |

Revived Roman Empire EU plans "Spy in the sky" 15/11/05 |
The European Union plans to launch an array of satellites into orbit by
2010, called the "Global
Monitoring for Environment and Security". The European Commission
formally announced the pilot stage of the satellite system today, which will
be used to monitor EU states to make sure they are conforming with European
policies, such as agricultural and fisheries policies. Further uses of the
system are expected to be developed, such as security and defence, and it
wouldn't surprise me if that was the real reason it was being developed. The
US is already concerned about the European plans to launch their own GPS
system called Galileo, of whom the Chinese will be a major sponsor.
Quote: "But a commission memo also acknowledged that GMES would play a key role in the "implementation, review and monitoring of EU policies", including watching for agriculture and fisheries fraud and boosting "internal security". In addition, officials hope GMES will support the EU's first steps towards becoming a military power. It will "provide authorities with necessary elements for a European Security and Defence Policy", the commission memo said. Europe needs a good communication system if it plans to have a rapid response force (or European Army) that can launch anywhere within the world within 5-10 days. I don't think it's a coincidence that both these projects, GMES (satellite network) and 2010 Headline Goal (rapid response force) are both planned to be completed by 2010. |

Anti-Semitism Jews to make Aliyah... from Britain? 15/11/105 |
A special Jewish exhibition held for Jewish Britton's who are considering
making Aliyah attracted over 8000 individuals this year, a marked increase
from 5000 last year. Alan Aziz, executive director of the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,
runs the exhibition and believes the reason for this increase may be due to
an increasing Anti-Semitic society in Britain.
Quote: "The fear of anti-Semitism in Britain was highlighted by Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks. Last month, in a special message to mark Rosh Hashana, he warned of a new wave of anti-Semitism, saying, “There have been times, the first in my memory, when it has been uncomfortable to be a Jew in Britain.” In the message, Sacks condemned calls made by Sir Iqbal Sacranie, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, to abolish Holocaust Memorial Day and also cited remarks with “anti-Semitic undertones” by academics who unsuccessfully attempted to initiate a national university boycott of Israel earlier this year. You might be forgiven for believing that Jewish people might only consider making Aliyah (travelling to their ancient homeland Israel) from countries like India or Russia, where Anti-Semitic persecution is well established. But Britain is increasingly becoming intolerant of Jewish society, and the number of Jews making Aliyah has risen steadily over the past three years. Many blame Prime Minister Blair's policies for "de-Christianising" Britain, by bringing in laws to make it a crime to incite religious hatred, relaxing marriage laws to promote homosexuality, promoting single parent families above married couples, and relaxing laws to permit Sunday shopping. All this, coupled with the Labour government's cock-up with the immigration system has resulted in some British people feeling that they no longer feel a part of the country they were born in. Earthquakes Mini tsunami strikes Japan after large quake 15/11/05 |
A large earthquake
struck Japan's coastline yesterday, measuring around 6.9 on the Richter
Scale. Although there were no reports of damage or casualties, the quake was
strong enough to trigger a small tsunami, around a foot in height.
Quote: "Tsunami waves of 12 and 19 inches hit the city of Ofunato, and 4- to 12-inch waves generated by the quake struck at least four other towns in the area, the agency said. Tsunami waves are often barely noticeable in the ocean but can rise to greater heights once they reach shore. Source Fox News |

Persecution Muslims "bussed in" to terrorize Christians 14/11/05 |
Around 450 Christian families fled their homes after thousands of Muslims
arrived in a small village in Pakistan to take revenge over the
"apparent" burning of the Koran by a Christian man - a claim later
disproved by Commission of Justice and Peace. 2000 Muslims arrived in buses
where they subsequently set fire to "three churches, a nuns' convent, two Catholic schools, the houses of a Protestant pastor and a Catholic priest, a girls' hostel and some Christian
homes". The police have been accused of doing nothing to prevent the
attack.
Quote: "Lawrence John Saldanha, archbishop of Lahore Archdiocese and chairman of the National Commission for Justice and Peace, said "the attack seems to have been planned and organized as the attackers were brought to the site in buses and instigated to commit violence and arson. It gave our people a lot of fear and anxiety but we hope the government will do something." ...this coming during the unrest in France, which most news agencies still seem to portray as carried out by under-privileged citizens. But this claim is starting to loose its validity, seeing the violence has now spread to city centres, and even other countries, such as Belgium, where it is claimed Islamic youths told police "This land belongs to Allah". Attacks in Holland have also been reported. There is no way rioters could keep the momentum going for nearly 20 days without it being organized. Source WorldNetDaily |

Wars and rumours of wars Iran knowledge of the bomb in advanced stages 13/11/05 |
The CIA
has produced a report which shows that Iran's knowledge of nuclear weapons
is significantly advanced, something which was already confirmed a few
months ago by Israeli intelligence. The Israelis believe that Iran may be as
close as 1 year away from perfecting their knowledge of the bomb even though
they don't yet have the technology to build one. Israel has said that the
knowledge of how to make the bomb is far more dangerous and harder to
control than preventing the actual manufacture of a device.
Iran recently rebuffed the latest Russian offer over the Uranium impasse, which would have let Iran possess enriched uranium, but only after it was enriched on Russian soil. Iran believes its people have the right to possess the knowledge of nuclear power, and is still pressing ahead with its Uranium enrichment process. In other news Iran also believes that Israel was really responsible for the Jordanian suicide bombings. Quote: "Asefi (Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman) condemned last week's bombings in Amman and hinted at Israel's involvement. "The bombings were suspicious. Reports indicate the Zionist regime has been behind the event," he stated. Source Jerusalem Post, Al Bawaba |

"Piece" process Abbas pledges to follow in dead leader's footsteps 12/11/05 |
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas pledged to follow in Yasser
Arafat's footsteps, during a speech he gave at the anniversary of his
predecessor's death. President Abbas continued the rhetoric that Arafat
often used, speaking words of peace to the Western media, while on the other
hand promising never to relinquish the fight for his own people. He praised
Yasser Arafat as a martyr who died for his cause, the same Arafat that once
held the UN to ransom when he wore an empty gun holster during his address,
and pleaded with world leaders not to force him to use it. At the ceremony,
Abbas promised to keep Arafat's death wish, to be buried in Jerusalem.
Nobody prays for the peace of Jerusalem anymore, only for a piece of
Jerusalem.
Quote: ""I renew my commitment to continuing the road he began and for which he made a lot of sacrifices, until the Palestinian flag flies from the walls, minarets and churches of Jerusalem," Abbas told a crowd of thousands in the West Bank. "We must continue the march together in keeping with the principles for which Abu Ammar (Arafat) became a martyr," he added. ...and Abbas condemns Israel for apparently pre-empting the status of Jerusalem by building a wall around it to keep suicide bombers out? I don't think Palestinians will even settle for half of Jerusalem (not that the Israeli's will let them), with the kind of language that the Palestinian Authority uses. But I believe there will be some agreement with Israel which will bring a measure of peace, possibly with East Jerusalem being the cherry on the cake for any final deal. Possibly Israel will ultimately reject this deal, and incur the wrath of the Antichrist and his armies. Zechariah 14:1-3 Source Yahoo |

Revived Roman Empire Macedonia given green light for EU membership 10/11/05 |
The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
was given the green light for EU membership yesterday. Macedonia, who's
former President was a born-again Christian and was tragically killed in an
aircraft accident last year, will join its neighbours Serbia and Montenegro,
and Croatia as new candidates for the European club.
Quote: "While no date has yet been set for the start of membership talks, Macedonian Prime Minister Vlado Buckovski hailed the decision as a "one-way ticket" to the EU for his country, and said that he was convinced that his country's official candidacy would be announced before the end of 2005. The EU's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, also expressed support for the fYRM's EU bid. Javier Solana has this to say about Macedonia's application for membership of Europe... Quote: "“Less than five years ago the country lacked stability which was ruined by internal conflicts. Today Macedonia is engaged in the questions of joining the EU”, Javier Solana said. He states Macedonia has much to do to enter the EU. The country should enhance the efficiency of the state bodies’ work, fortify sufficiency of law and strengthen the fight against corruption. “All this should be the primary task of all political forces in order to confirm the intention of the republic to carry out the reforms. Only joint efforts will allow the country to make the steps towards EU membership”, Mr. Solana remarked. |

Peace agreement Solana visits Middle East - 3 year EU border agreement 10/11/05 |
Javier Solana, the High Representative for the European Common, Foreign and
Security Policy, is planning to visit
the Middle East tomorrow for a trip lasting around 5 days in an effort
to underscore the EU's commitment to the ongoing peace process. His visit
will include meetings in Lebanon to meet with Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, Bahrain,
Egypt to meet with President Hosni Mubarak, Jordan, Israel and the West Bank,
where he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas.
Quote: "Earlier this week, the EU foreign ministers agreed to begin a three-year mission to train Palestinian police forces and another to monitor the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, the AP reports. Solana said the two missions would represent the most important security presence in the Middle East ever undertaken by the EU as part of the Mideast peace process. Javier Solana has stated that he hopes the EU doesn't have to monitor the border permanently, but that a peace agreement will be reached with the Palestinians. Wars and rumours of wars Jordan hit by homicide bombers 9/11/05 |
China was expecting them next week but tonight over 50 people are dead and
hundreds injured after homicide bombers detonated explosives in a Western
hotel in Amman, Jordan.
The latest attack reveals an increasing trend of Islamic violence worldwide,
with riots in France, who are now preparing to deport foreign rioters after
curfews failed, and explosions in Delhi, India, which killed dozens of
people. Al-Qaida are suspected as having carried out the attack, but somehow
I feel that Al-Qaida gets blamed for anything that that has a link with Islamic
extremism and cannot be adequately
explained by Western leaders
Quote: "King Abdullah II said the deadly blasts were "terrorist" acts" and pledged that "justice will pursue the criminals". A White House spokesman condemned the bombings as "a heinous act of terror". UN chief Kofi Annan has postponed a scheduled visit to Jordan scheduled for Thursday. In committing these heinous crimes, these Muslims believe they are fulfilling the prophecy of the Koran, that one day the world would be conquered in the name of Allah. But the tiny nation of Israel contradicts that Islamic prophecy, and that is why so many Muslims hate Israel. Many occultists believe that there are three groups of people in the world, Christians, Jews and Muslims. They believe one group will be removed by a rapture, and the other two groups will destroy each other, and only then will the New World Order be brought into being. Many Muslim nations are already extremist in their religious philosophy. But most Western nations are not, at least were not until now. Could it be that these attacks are planned to incite Western hatred and cause them to fight the Jihad, justifying a Muslim Holy War against the West? Genesis 16:12 Source BBC |

Wars and rumours of wars China fears Islamic uprising in Uighur province 9/11/05 |
China is warning of possible "hotel attacks" within the next few
weeks, based on information on proposed threats from Islamic terrorists who
desire to carve out their own Islamic state in China.
Quote: "Many Uighurs campaign for an independent homeland in the region, which they would call East Turkestan, and resent the recent and large-scale influx into the region of Han Chinese settlers. China brands these separatists as terrorists and said in September that more than 260 terrorist acts had been committed in Xinjiang in the past two decades. The Chinese warnings come just a day after Australian police revealed they believed a major attack had been foiled, after over a year of careful investigation. This week, Britain is also rushing through controversial anti-terror legislation which will permit terror suspects to be held for up to 3 months in jail without a trial. Quote: "Abu Bakr — an Algerian-Australian who has said he would be violating his faith if he warned his students not to join the jihad, or holy war, in Iraq — was among nine men who appeared Tuesday morning in Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with being members of a terror group. Prosecutor Richard Maidment told the court the nine planned to kill "innocent men and women in Australia." What on earth is happening in the world? Already we have worldwide terrorism on a scale never before seen, and only within the last five years. Fighting in France, bombs in London and Madrid among other places, Iraq in near civil war, Iran and North Korea going nuclear, killer earthquakes and hurricanes, and all this in the last 12 months. Clearly the stage is being set for the Antichrist to arrive on the scene, and "miraculously" solve all these problems. |

Peace agreement Saudi to normalize relations after Israeli pullout 9/11/05 |
The Saudi Ambassador to the United States told the Jerusalem Post yesterday
that Saudi Arabia would be willing to normalize
relations with Israel, if Israel withdraws to pre-1967 borders.
Quote: "According to Al-Faisal, "Nothing has done more to damage Western and Islamic relations than the uneven handling of affairs between Israel and the Palestinian people," adding that "it is this cause above all others that has given lifeblood to this evil cult of hate that has fed the followers of Al Qaida." The ambassador called for immediate international intervention to reach a solution to the conflict, based on the Saudi initiative that was later adopted by the Arab League. The plan promised full normalization between the Arab world and Israel in return for full withdrawal of Israel from the territories. Saudi Arabia is one of a number of Islamic states that have promised to normalize relations with Israel. Pakistan's Pervez Musharraf made history by being the first Islamic head of state to address the American Jewish Congress just a few months ago, although Pakistan stopped short of officially recognizing the state of Israel until peace is made with the Palestinians. It is believed that Arab willingness to negotiate with Israel has been helped by the Gaza disengagement, but Ariel Sharon has so far been unwilling to withdraw from Samaria, at least until Palestinian terror is dealt with by President Abbas. Signs in the sun, moon and
stars Astronomers call for Asteroid impact preparations 8/11/05 |
The Association of Space
Explorers have published an open letter at their annual congress last
month calling for strategies to be developed to deal with any potential
asteroid impact that may strike earth. As the article reports, this year in
particular has seen a flurry of natural disasters across the globe. There
was a record number of category 5 hurricanes struck America, a devastating
earthquake in Pakistan, floods and fires engulfed Europe, among others.
Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their lives. But how would a
nation - even a world, that finds it hard to deal with such natural devastation,
deal with the knowledge that an asteroid was about to strike earth?
Quote: "The association wants NASA to expand its Spaceguard Survey, a program that discovers and tracks near-Earth objects -- asteroids and comets -- that are at least two-thirds of a mile across. So far, 807 of an estimated 1,100 of these big rocky asteroids have been discovered in the inner solar system along with 57 comets; California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is plotting their future tracks. An asteroid two-thirds of a mile wide, at impact, would be enough to easily take out a good-sized European country. The Bible does mention the possibility of an asteroid impact during the tribulation period. Possibly the writer of Revelation had never seen such an event before and uses the best of his ability to describe what he saw. Neither had most of mankind saw such an event, up until Shoemaker Levi 9 struck Jupiter, creating a firestorm the size of the planet Earth. There are possibly a number of meteor impacts mentioned in Revelation. Firstly a fragmented asteroid strikes land (hail and fire), causing fires to destroy much vegetation. A large piece may strike the Mediterranean ("the sea" in the Bible usually refers to the Mediterranean sea) destroying ships and sea life. A third part hits land, causing water pollution. And lastly, the dust thrown up into the atmosphere by the impact - just as we saw in Jupiter, will darken the sky for a prolonged period. Revelation 8:7-12 A friend of mine, Francisco Guerrero, also tells me that the star "Wormwood" may have another significance. The Ukrainian word for "Wormwood" is "Chernobyl", the name of the Russian nuclear power plant that blew it's top back in 1986, spreading deadly radioactive dust across much of Russia and Europe. It is currently feared that the sarcophagus, the concrete tomb that encases Chernobyl, is disintegrating. A collapse could devastate the area, contaminating much of the land and water supply with radioactive particles once again. Francisco also pointed out another interesting fact, that stars are thought to have nuclear cores, and this may also be the reason Chernobyl is described as a "great star" in the book of Revelation. Peace agreement Iran comes up with Middle East "peace plan" 8/11/05 |
Just a week after the Iranian President told a conference entitled "The
World Without Zionism" that Israel should be "wiped off the
map", the Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki stated yesterday
that Iran planned to offer a solution to the Middle East conflict to the
United Nations. The plan, inspired by Iran's supreme spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali
Khameini, involves a Palestinian referendum on how the conflict should be
resolved.
Quote: "Khameini said last week that the solution to the conflict involved, "a national referendum in which all true Palestinians would participate, whether they are Muslims, Jews or Christians, including Palestinian refugees throughout the world," on how to solve the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. It's interesting that the Iranians should so suddenly have changed their mind about Israel, and want to make peace. But perhaps, just like Nehemiah who sought to rebuild Jerusalem, Israel's enemies seek to make peace in order to do them mischief. Iran knows Israeli's are vastly outnumbered by "true Palestinians", and that any referendum would result in the destruction of Israel. Nehemiah 2:20 Psalm 28:3 Source Jerusalem Post |

Dividing the land Gaza re-occupied... by Palestinians? 7/11/05 |
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has made a surprise visit to
Gaza after reports that the land has been "reoccupied"...
by local Palestinian gangs, families and even some PA officials. Much of the
reclaimed Gaza territory was planned to be demolished to make way for high-rise
flats to alleviate the desperate housing situation in the strip. Over
1.3 million Palestinians live in an area only around 30 miles long. But now
the Palestinian Authority may find itself in a legal struggle with
Palestinian "settlers" who have taken up residence in the area.
Quote: "Shaath (the PA Information Minister) condemned the land grab as "a despicable act" against public lands. "These lands should not be fair play for a group of thieves who see an opportunity to take control of the areas that were under Israeli occupation," he stressed. "Our people are sick and tired of those who are assaulting public lands and all the Palestinian security forces should start acting to stop the theft and defend the lands." Weather Greenhouse gases to rise 50% in 25 years 7/11/05 |
A new study has revealed that greenhouse gases are expected to rise by
around 52% unless companies do more to curb emissions. The International
Energy Agency has also stated that the world oil reserves are expected to
start running dry by 2030, and unless the world economy can increase oil
production to ease prices, and move to a more sustainable energy source, the
world economy could collapse.
Quote: ""If investments do not come in a timely and sufficient manner, there will be higher oil prices, and global economic growth will suffer," said IEA chief economist Fatih Birol. The IEA says the world has enough oil supplies to last until 2030, and that the core issue is instead the need to improve the supply chain. Some believe that the world energy crisis is preventable, and possibly manufactured by big business. The world economy is based on who controls the oil, and big businesses - even countries like Saudi Arabia, are set to fall should the oil supply run dry. Firms have so much money invested in oil that any other renewable energy source that is developed must be suppressed or profits will fall. For example, many farmers in the UK are paid by the European Union to grow nothing. Supply of food and milk outstrips demand. But if farmers planted oil seed rape instead of letting their land lie empty, the oil produced could replace the need to extract fossil fuel from the ground. But the Bible predicts this situation is only set to grow worse. The world economy will suffer so much during the tribulation period, that a loaf of bread will cost a day's wages. Anti-Semitism Al-Aqsa take up Iranian call to destroy Israel 6/11/05 |
The terror group, Al-Aqsa
Martyrs Brigade, has echoed the Iranian President's call for the
destruction of Israel, by issuing a new leaflet urging all Palestinian
terrorist groups to unite to defeat the "Zionist enemy". The
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade is the military wing of the ruling Fatah party, of
whom Mahmoud Abbas is the President.
Quote: ""We affirm our support and backing for the positions of the Iranian president toward the Zionist state which, by God's will, will cease to exist," said the leaflet. "Recognizing Israel's right to exist means underestimating the Palestinian people, who are making daily sacrifices to liberate Palestine and Jerusalem." Although President Abbas has publicly denounced the leaflet for the benefit of the Western media - as his predecessor Arafat no doubt would have done, either he is unwilling to deal with Al-Aqsa or is incapable, for he has drafted hundreds of of the terrorists into the ranks of the Palestinian Authority police force, guns and all. Peace agreement Solana visiting Middle East to supervise border crossing 6/11/05 |
Javier Solana, the High Representative for
Europe's Common, Foreign and Security Policy, will soon be heading for Israel
and the surrounding nations in order to co-ordinate the re-opening of the
Rafah border crossing with Egypt. Palestinian and Israeli ministers brokered
an agreement with the Quartet (EU, US, UN and Russia) that would permit the
re-opening of the border under EU supervision.
Quote: "The sources said Solana's visit is aimed at coordinating the operation of the Rafah crossing on the Gaza-Egypt border between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority. Solana will discuss with Palestinian officials the role of the EU as a third party in operating the Rafah crossing and an EU- sponsored development plan in the Gaza Strip designed to revive the territory's economy. But the sources did not reveal the exact date of Solana`s arrival. As I said before, this is an extremely important development. For it will be the first time Israel has agreed for a third party to supervise borders in the Middle East conflict. Just a few years ago, Ariel Sharon told Javier Solana that he did not want the EU interfering in Israeli affairs. Solana's reply was that Israel had to deal with the EU "whether he liked it or not". And it looks like everything is going according to Biblical prophecy, that the EU will be the group that will broker a peace agreement in the Middle East (Daniel 9:27). Source Angola Press |

Anti-Semitism Italian FM asks backing for Israel's right to exist 6/11/05 |
The Italian Foreign Minister Gianfranco Fini has called for the
international community to guarantee
Israel's security following Iranian remarks that the tiny state should be
"wiped off the map".
Quote: ""Not recognizing Israel's right to exist is an incentive for terrorism because the moment you don't recognize a state's right to exist you don't recognize a people's right to exist," Fini was quoted as saying. "That makes it clear that it is indispensable to guarantee to Israel the commitment of the international community towards its safety," Fini said. Of course, dozens of Arab nations still won't draw Israel on their maps, never mind wiping it off the map. Palestinian terror groups still seek to liberate "all of Palestine", and that for them includes all of Israel, not just the pre-1967 borders. But according to Biblical prophecy, the Antichrist will send forces into the region to guarantee Israel's safety (Daniel 11:40-45), and many countries that come against Israel will be overthrown. That is until the Antichrist himself finally turns against Israel, and is destroyed by Jesus Christ at the Second Coming. Source Jerusalem Post |

Lawlessness Muslim riots in France enter 10th day 5/11/05 |
The prolonged riots in the city of Paris continued for a ninth
night, with over nine hundred cars being set alight, and nurseries and
schools being torched. The riots apparently started after two young Muslim
boys were found dead, electrocuted in an electricity substation. Some media
outlets interviewed Parisians, who stated the only way their community could
get noticed was by rioting, but others condemned the violence. According to WorldNetDaily,
the rioting is happening in Muslim neighbourhoods which seemingly have
become ghettoes for the under-privileged, after immigrants that helped to
rebuild France after the war, whether by
happenstance or design, were not integrated properly into French
society and culture.
Quote: "According to earlier reports, the rioting – which has seen the destruction of hundreds of vehicles, public buses and buildings – began Oct. 27 after the accidental deaths of two Muslim teens. Both boys were electrocuted while hiding from police in an electrical power substation in the Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois. Reports said police were in the area checking identification papers when the two boys ran away from them. By week's end, riot police and firefighters were battling scores of Muslim rioters, some armed with weapons and Molotov cocktails. A police union official likened the violence to "civil war" in calling for the government to impose a strict curfew as French leaders vowed to restore order in the worst crisis of domestic violence in the country in decades. It's strange how the BBC doesn't report the "Muslim" unrest, but only states that it is caused by those with "African descent". Is there any truth that the rioting is by Muslims, and perhaps the BBC doesn't wish to offend the Muslim community? If anybody knows the answer, let me know. Anti-Semitism Dutch teen tries to bring down Israeli airliner 5/11/05 |
Dutch police announced yesterday that they had arrested a youth, along with
six co-conspirators, that had planned to bring down an El-Al
airliner. Samir Azuz, 19, had left a video tape for his parents
explaining his mission, for he expected to die after bringing the aircraft
down - presumably by committing suicide.
Quote: "According to the Netherlands intelligence service, the suspects enlisted the cooperation of two employees at an office near Schipool in order to perform reconnaissance. They also acquired weapons. Reports revealed that Azuz, apparently expecting to die while bringing down the airplane, had prepared a videotape saying goodbye to his parents. An Israeli airliner narrowly missed being hit by two missiles from a blowpipe earlier on in the year, sparking fears that Airlines may have to start fitting aircraft with anti-missile systems. Thankfully both missiles missed their target, and the incident was only revealed to passengers as they were arriving at their destination. Isaiah 54:17 Source Jerusalem Post |

Persecution Report states Libya jails blogger 4/11/05 |
A report released by Human Rights Watch stated that Libya may have jailed
a blogger for criticizing the government. Apparently the 52 year-old was
sentenced on trumped up charges of possessing an illegal hand gun, but the
real motives behind the jailing may have been Abdel Raziq al-Mansuri's
criticizism of Libyan society and government.
Quote: ""The gun charges are a ruse," said the Middle Eastern director of HRW, Sarah Leah Whitson. "The authorities went after al-Mansuri because they did not like what he wrote." Al-Mansuri, 52, was detained in Tobruk, his hometown, in January after publishing about 50 articles critical of Libyan society and government on a dissident Web site based in Britain, the rights group said Thursday. Persecution Egyptian blogger arrested for anti-Islamic posts 4/11/05 |
An Egyptian
blogger has been detained by police for posting "anti-Islamic"
and "anti-government" posts on his own weblog, that he copied from
books. Abdolkarim Nabil Seliman was arrested on October 26th.
Quote: ""A group of seven police officers knocked at the door at 3 a.m. and asked about Abdolkarim," his mother, who identified herself as Yousseria, told The Associated Press by telephone from Alexandria. She said the police searched the house, confiscated Seliman books and copies of his articles, which he posts to his blog. Police declined to comment when asked about Seliman's detention. Thankfully in Britain, the controversial Incitement to Religious Hatred bill - which is due to be introduced at the end of the year, has been toned down by the House of Lords. Those who would seek to prosecute people for their beliefs will now have to prove they had an intention to stir up religious hatred, where as before anyone could have been prosecuted if an offence was caused. Both Muslims and Christians were deeply concerned about the bill, seeing they could fall foul of this new law simply for preaching what they believed. Also, only threatening language will now be constituted as an offence, whereas before any insulting or abusive language - as determined by the offended party, could have landed the offender in court. Of course we will have to wait and see how this new law is interpreted by the judges. But it is worrying, nevertheless, that people are being arrested for proclaiming what they believe, even on the internet. Things may get worse before they get better. But we should keep the attitude that Paul had, who was able to rejoice, no matter what state he found himself in. Matthew 10:16-18 Source Jerusalem Post |

Suffer the little children Doctors petition Israeli court over sonic booms 3/11/05 |
Doctors groups in the Gaza strip petitioned the Israeli Supreme Court today
over IAF fighters buzzing the Gaza skies. IAF fighter jets have been flying
over Palestinian areas at supersonic
speed, frightening children and causing miscarriages in pregnant women,
with the deafening sound wave that follows in their wake.
Quote: "The joint Israeli-Palestinian petition filed in the Supreme Court by the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel says that according to international law, "the booms are collective punishment against the civilian population and thus illegal". While I do believe that it is wrong to frighten young children, and I do question the effectiveness of a sonic boom over terrorist bases, perhaps the Doctor's groups that are seeking to bring this petition to court ought to consider the what the affects are from years of indoctrination of hatred, instilled into Palestinian children who believe that strapping bombs onto their bodies and blowing themselves up is somehow alleviating the suffering of their own people. Quote: "Al-Nadi was taken for questioning and his bomb was defused by an IDF bomb squad. "The teenager was asked to lift up his shirt and it revealed a bomb belt containing two pipe bombs tied around his waist," the spokeswoman said. It was 14th time in the past two months a Palestinian teenager had attempted to detonate a bomb or smuggle arms and explosives through a military checkpoint. And once they have considered that, then they should think about bringing a petition against "sonic booms". In all this conflict, its the children that suffer the most, and I believe there will be a lot of people will have to answer to God for it. Luke 18:16 Source BBC, WorldNetDaily |

Wars and rumours of wars 40 Iranian diplomats to be recalled ahead of Uranium "campaign" 2/11/05 |
Just a week after dozens of Iranian ambassadors were summoned across the
world to explain Iran's policy towards Israel, Iran's Foreign Minister has
announced the withdrawal of 40 "moderate" ambassadors
which are to be replaced by the end of their term. This is being seen as an
effort by the new Iranian administration to distance itself from previous
governments that had softened their stance towards the West. More worrying
is news that Iran is planning next week to press ahead with its Uranium
enrichment process, which if successful, could produce enough Uranium to
build a bomb by around 2010.
Quote: "An even clearer signal is expected next week at Isfahan, the site of Iran’s uranium conversion plant. Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that technicians are preparing a new “campaign” to begin conversion of uranium ore, the first stage in the nuclear fuel cycle. Western nations fear that if Iran masters the process it could be diverted to produce highly enriched uranium, the essential component for an atomic bomb. The IAEA is to meet on November 24 to decide whether to refer Iran to the UN Security Council, where it faces the threat of sanctions. In other news, Israeli intelligence report that Iran continues to fund Palestinian terror. The Palestinian Authority held a public ceremony in the Gaza strip last month to distribute $1 million dollars, generously donated by Iran, to be distributed among terror groups and the families of suicide bombers. Quote: "Abbas sent a representative to deliver a speech on his behalf at the $1 million distribution ceremony, which was videotaped and attended by several members of the Palestinian Legislative Council. Abbas was also a sponsor of the ceremony, the Center for Special Studies reports. Giving a speech for Abbas, Minister of Prisoners' Affairs Hisham Abd issued a call to fight against Israel's West Bank security fence and the Judaization of Jerusalem, and he said the PA formulated "national plans" to liberate Palestinian lands. Wars and rumours of wars Iran asserts right to intervene in regional affairs 2/11/05 |
A high-level commander in the Iranian army has warned the US that Iran has a
right to intervene
in the affairs of neighbouring countries - including Afghanistan and Iraq,
and wishes to do so.
Quote: ""Iran is in the center of three strategic and sensitive regions -- the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caucasus ," Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said. "The Islamic republic, for this reason, can play a decisive role in regional political, economic, cultural and security arrangements." Coming just days after the statements made recently by the newly elected Iranian President that Israel should be "wiped off the map", this is a worrying development. Iran is already under intense international pressure regarding the intents of its nuclear programme. Iran fears that it will be next in line for an Iraq-style invasion, and feels that possession of nuclear weapons would be a significant deterrent to the prospect of that happening. Perhaps that's also why Iran and Syria are so keen to see the US plan for a democratic Iraq fail. Source Middle East Newsline |

Wars and rumours of wars Britain to keep Nuclear deterrent 2/11/05 |
Britain's Secretary of Defence, John Reid, has stated that Britain plans to
hold on to its nuclear
weapons for the foreseeable future, even though the current threat
facing the United Kingdom is from terrorists. He told MPs yesterday that
nuclear proliferation is not likely to stop, and with countries such as
India and Pakistan now possessing weapons of mass destruction, and Iran and
North Korea doing everything in their power to acquire them, Britain needs a
range of deterrents including the nuclear option.
Quote: "However, other countries — India, Pakistan and North Korea — had acquired nuclear weapons, and “more worrying, some countries have been trying to develop nuclear weapons by deceiving the world, not complying with their obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, for instance Iran”. Mr Reid told the MPs: “I think it would be naive to believe that there will be no further proliferation.” The problem of Nuclear weapon proliferation looks set to only get worse. We already have around 40 miniature suitcase bombs missing from the Russian arsenal, North Korea is more interested in selling its nuclear technology than using it, and Iran is actively seeking to possess the nuclear bomb - and as we have seen this week, probably would use one against Israel given the opportunity. Previous Iranian Presidents have stated that it would only take one Arab missile to destroy Israel, while any retaliatory strike would cause limited damage to Arab nations. The Bible predicts some sort of nuclear scenario will occur during the tribulation period... The destruction of Babylon (possibly a spiritual reference to Rome) will occur in just one hour (Revelation 18:10). The ancient city of Damascus will also be destroyed overnight (Isaiah 17:1,14). Other scriptures mention fire and pillars of smoke (Joel 2:30), possible references to missile attacks if not nuclear weaponry. And much of the earth will be burned up amid all this devastation (Revelation 8:7). Source Times Online |

Israel Sharon approves EU border monitors for Gaza 1/11/05 |
Ariel Sharon has become the first Israeli Prime Minister to agree to
international third-party border
monitors - specifically from the European Union, to attempt to stabilize
the up until now porous border crossings between Gaza and the surrounding
regions. The border with Egypt has been the source of much conflict, with
Palestinian terrorists frequently using the crossing to smuggle guns and
explosives into Gaza, previously via a network of underground tunnels, and
in recent months by blowing a gaping hole in the concrete border wall. Israeli and
Palestinian officials, along with representatives from the Quartet (US, EU,
UN and Russia) thrashed out the deal last night which will permit EU
supervision of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.
Quote: "By agreeing to third party monitors at the border, Sharon has become the first Israeli leader to agree to international supervision on the borders - a move pregnant with wide-ranging ramifications for future border arrangements. For instance, agreement to outside monitors at Rafah is likely to pave the way for agreement to the stationing of outside monitors at other sensitive crossing points, such as at a future Gaza seaport or airport. The EU is already significantly involved in the Middle East peace process. European nations currently donate over 600 million Euros a year to the region, and European troops are already engaged in training the Palestinian Authority police force. But the fact that the EU has been allowed to supervise as a third party in this fragile situation will be seen by many Christians as the first step to an EU brokered peace agreement - brought into place by the Antichrist, which will fail catastrophically according to Biblical prophecy. Israel UN to vote on Holocaust remembrance day 1/11/05 |
Over 100 countries have so far sponsored the United Nations resolution to
adopt January 27th for a world Holocaust-Remembrance
day, the day the Nazi concentration camp, Ausshwitz-Birkenau, was
liberated by the Allies. This year also marked the 60th anniversary of both
the end of the Second World War, and the establishment of the United
Nations, and many feel that the world has not done enough during those sixty
years to prevent further genocide atrocities from happening.
Quote: ""The UN bears a special responsibility to ensure that the Holocaust and its lessons are never forgotten and that this tragedy will forever stand as a warning to all people of the dangers of hatred, bigotry, racism and prejudice," said Gillerman (Israel's Ambassador to the UN). Prime Minister Blair supported the idea of establishing a Holocaust Memorial day, but thought it better to name it Genocide Memorial day in case any other nations were offended or left out. But which nation has suffered more, and will suffer more, than the Jewish nation? Luke 23:27-31 Source Jerusalem Post |
