Terrorism Damascus involved 28/2/05 |
Israel said today that it had sent information to its European and US
allies, linking Damascus
with the recent atrocity in Israel (claimed by Islamic Jihad), where five died in a suicide bombing.
Syria has long been involved in state sponsored terrorism. It is widely
believed that Syria and Lebanon are where Saddam's weapons of mass
destruction ended up, 3 months before the war started.
Interestingly, there is one prophecy of Damascus in the Bible, which has not yet been fulfilled... Isaiah 17:1 Whether this is in retaliation for an attack on Israel or not is not clear. But whatever the circumstances, Syria will not be spared, and Damascus will sometime in the future be destroyed suddenly. Isaiah 17:14 Source BBC |

Morals Gay ordination Split deepens 25/2/05 |
The rift has
deepened between Anglicans in the row over the ordination of an openly
gay Bishop.
Quote: "...The statement by the Church leaders calling for a withdrawal from the Anglican Consultative Council until 2008 came after a four-day meeting in Northern Ireland. The communiqué said top clerics were "deeply alarmed" that the "standard of Christian teaching on matters of human sexuality" had been "seriously undermined by the recent developments in North America" Perhaps the Anglicans ought to re-read the Corinthian Epistle, before making their final decision... 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 If God won't permit these things in heaven (although some may be saved from these, "such were some of you", 1st Cor 6:11), why should we add our blessing to them on earth? Earthquakes Iran 22/2/05 |
Yet another major earthquake in just a week. A 6.4 magnitude quake
struck Iran, killing up to as many as 400 people.
The Bible said that earthquakes would characterize the last days, and the US Geological Survey says that earthquakes have been increasing since 1948. The size of earthquakes have also been increasing, with the biggest quake in 40 years happening just a few months ago (Asia). Yet we still await the killer quake that the Bible states will occur during the tribulation, and will cause incalculable devastation. Rev 16:18-19 Source BBC |

Archaeology Edom found 22/2/05 |
Not prophecy, but extremely interesting nonetheless. A US-lead archaeological
team have just confirmed the existence of the ancient site of the land of Edom
in modern-day Jordan, during the timescale the Bible mentions it, which
"experts" had up until now doubted.
Quote: "...new archeological data from modern-day Jordan presents strong evidence for the involvement of Edom with neighboring ancient Israel as described in the Bible and indicates the existence of the biblical nation of Edom at least as early as the 10th Century BCE – when David and Solomon were alive. New World Order EU Constitution 20/2/05 |
A majority (77%) of the Spanish public have voted "Yes", approving
the new EU
constitution.
Quote: "It was the first of a series of European polls on the constitutional treaty, which must be ratified by all 25 EU member states to go into effect. Actually, not quite true. According to page 240 of the EU Constitution, "If, two years after the signature of the treaty establishing the Constitution, four fifths of the Member States have ratified it and one or more Member States have encountered difficulties in proceeding with ratification, the matter will be referred to the European Council". Quote: "The referendum was non-binding, with parliament set to have the final say. So what was the whole point of the referendum, apart from to try and make the public think they are part of the process? Quote: "The EU's foreign policy chief Javier Solana said: "I am convinced that the results in Spain will have a positive impact in consultations that will take place in other EU member states in the coming months." Keep an eye on this man, Javier Solana, in the coming months... Quote: "The EU constitution ... provides for the first EU president and foreign minister and incorporates certain fundamental rights into EU law. Watch the man who fills this role. As the famous quote goes by Henri Spaak in 1957, speaking on the role of the EU Presidency, "We do not want another committee, we have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he God or devil, we will receive him" Source BBC |

Israel Dividing the land 20/2/05 |
The Israeli government have approved the plan for withdrawal from the Gaza
strip, and four West bank Jewish settlements today. But even while trying to
achieve a peaceful solution, they have come under fire from Palestinian
leaders...
Quote: Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas reiterated in an interview with the German news magazine Der Spiegel that Israel must dismantle all settlements and halt construction of the barrier. "What right does Israel have to build settlements on our land?" Abbas said. The Bible states that one of the chief policies of the Antichrist is to "divide the land" (meaning God's land, Israel), and at that for his own ends. Dan 11:39 This is something God hates, because it is His land they are dividing. Lev 25:23 But God hasn't forgotten the Palestinians either. Yes, God gave the land to Abraham and His seed forever, and we know that promise passed on through Isaac and Jacob (Gen 21:12, "for in Isaac shall thy seed be called"), yet the Lord talks about a people, who during the Millennial Reign of Christ, shall live among the Israelis in peace. Zephaniah 3:12 I personally believe this verse is referring to the Palestinians, not in their own state, but living at peace in the land of Israel, and trusting in Jesus, their God. So there is hope for this conflict, but not through men, only through the One who can truly unite all people in justice and righteousness, Jesus Christ. Source CNN |

Israel 3rd Temple Site 17/02/05 |
On the 9th of February 2005, the newly established Sanhedrin convened to
start discussing the exact
place Herod's Temple stood on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This is an extremely important issue, especially due to the fact that the Al-Aqsa mosque now stands on the Mount. Some believe that Herod's Temple may have actually stood slightly north of the Mosque, which would enable a Temple to be rebuilt on the Mount without the removal of the Mosque (which could spark a world war by itself). Quote: "Identifying the spot on which the Temple stood is a matter of controversy among scholars, and has serious ramifications for those wishing to visit the Temple Mount. It is also critical for the renewal of the Passover sacrifice, and ultimately for the building of the third and final Holy Temple. The Temple that is now ready to be built as soon as an agreement can be reached with the Arabs, and as soon as the site is cleansed, will be the Temple that will be defiled by the Antichrist, only 3 and a half years after the temple sacrifices are resumed. Earthquakes and Weather 16/02/05 |
A magnitude
5.4 quake struck Tokyo today, with reports of 28 casualties. Cyclones
are also taking their toll on islands in the south pacific. The UK is also
bracing itself for an extreme
cold snap at the end of the week.
The recent extreme weather is also causing massive disruption to local wildlife, with plants flowering and dieing too early, resulting in a lack of food for caterpillars and birds. Source Jerusalem Post, BBC, BBC |

Anti-Semitism London Mayor 14/02/05 |
London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, has been urged by MPs to withdraw his
comments regarding a Jewish reporter for the Evening Standard, comparing him
to a "Nazi concentration camp guard".
Quote: "During a heated exchange, caught on tape, the mayor asked Mr Finegold if he was a "German war criminal". Mr Finegold replied: "No, I'm Jewish, I wasn't a German war criminal. I'm quite offended by that." The mayor then said: "Ah right, well you might be, but actually you are just like a concentration camp guard, you are just doing it because you are paid to, aren't you?" Where does this leave the new law of Religious Harassment that Labour seeks to introduce? And why is it acceptable for the Mayor of London to court Muslim clerics who are known proponents of international terrorism on the one hand, wanted by the US to stand trial, and yet when it comes to democratic citizens of his own country, he can say whatever he likes? Morals Gay marriage approved by the "church" 12/02/05 |
The Religious Institute has drafted an "open
letter" to religious leaders pressing them to support gay marriage,
claiming Biblical support for such a view.
Their Scriptural justification for gay marriage is not only deceptive, but heretical. They erect the straw men of bigamy (which Scripture does NOT encourage - 1 Tim 3:2) and the man being the head of the wife (which is Scriptural and commanded by God - Gen 3:16) in order to try to make it look like the Bible is unauthoritative on this issue (which it is not) and that anyone who adheres to these beliefs must be old fashioned and out of touch. Contrary to their "open letter", there are no "Religious Foundations" for allowing gay marriage. The Religious Institute have done exactly what Paul states in Rom 1:25, they have "exchanged the truth of God for a lie", and fulfilled the Scripture that in the last days, people would be "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God", 2 Tim 3:4. New World Order EU Constitution 12/02/05 |
Spain and France
have "appealed" to the Spanish public to vote "Yes" in
the EU referendum over the new constitution, believing that a majority there
will serve as a signal to the rest of Europe that the constitution is a good
idea.
Quote: "Speaking at a meeting in Barcelona, Mr Chirac said the proposed constitution would allow help Europe "to assume its responsibilities". "It is by unifying that Europeans will be strong. Without union, they will disappear," he added. Mr Zapatero said a "yes" vote would give the EU "prosperity and solidarity" and would banish the concepts of war and dictatorship. It is remarkable to think that by having a European constitution, that "the concepts of war and dictatorship" would be banished. While the Bible says there will be a measure of "peace", this unification will actually be a precursor to the rising of the greatest dictator the world has ever seen. Revelation 13:4 Daniel makes it more clear about the Antichrist's character. Many have thought the Antichrist to be a man like Hitler, or Mussolini, but the Bible says he will be a man of peace, who in the name of peace will conquer his enemies. Daniel 8:25 Source BBC |

Climate Extreme weather 11/02/05 |
Tehran was
brought to a standstill yesterday because of heavy snowfall. Israel is also
expecting snow to fall in Jerusalem again. Conversely, NASA also said today
that 2005 may be the hottest
year on record.
No-one can deny the world climate is changing for the worse, whether its due to global warming or not. Several of the judgements that will occur during the tribulation are specifically to do with weather. Revelation 16:8-9 Twice in the book of Revelation, hail stones are mentioned, that are said to weigh the weight of a talent (a stone about the size of a football). While hail like this is rare today, it nevertheless does occur, particularly in tropical climates, and can cause great damage. Revelation 8:7 Revelation 16:21 |

New World Order EU Constitution 9/02/05 |
MP's have voted in the UK to back a referendum
on the question over the new EU
constitution. The question the UK public will be asked is,
"Should the United Kingdom approve the treaty establishing a
constitution for the European Union?".
European nations are being drawn closer and closer together, yet I doubt there will be the super-state that everyone fears. The book of Daniel says about the 10 toes of Nebuchadnezzar's statue, which represented the ten nation confederacy of Antichrist, that it will be part strong, part weak. Strong when Europe acts as one, but weak in that Europe will still remain divided, just like it is today. Daniel 2:41-43 Quote: "Mr Ancram insisted determined negotiation could win changes and other countries, such as the Netherlands, wanted powers returned to national parliaments. "This constitution is the irreversible first step towards a European state - it's the gateway to a country called Europe which I don't believe the people of this country want to go to," he said. Mark of the Beast RFID'd products 9/02/05 |
"Would you like chips with that, sir?" A consumer survey in the UK shows a majority of people (52%) are either concerned or very concerned about RFID'd goods in supermarkets. Goods containing RFID chips automatically broadcast a radio code when scanned. These chips can, for example, be used to monitor what stock is on the shelves, and computers could automatically send an order to the suppliers for more when a product is running low. But RFID chips are so small, they are extremely hard to detect even when you are looking for them. For example, RFID chips are small enough to be laced into clothing and even printed on packaging (e.g. the dot of a letter i could contain a tiny RFID chip). They are also extremely durable, and very cheap to manufacture. Because they can be printed, banks are also considering using these to keep track of cash. Quote: "At least once consumer group - Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering (Caspian) - has claimed that RFID chips could be used to secretly identify people and the things they are carrying or wearing. All kinds of personal belongings, including clothes, could constantly broadcast messages about their whereabouts and their owners, it warned. Source BBC |

Knowledge increasing Cloning 8/02/05 |
The UK Human Fertilization and
Embryology Dept. today granted a licence for the creator of Dolly the
Sheep to clone
human embryos for "research purposes". Quote: "Julia Millington of the Pro-Life Alliance said: "All human cloning is intrinsically wrong and should be outlawed. "The creation of cloned human embryos destined for experimentation and subsequent destruction is particularly abhorrent. "We all welcome advances which enable scientists to halt the progression of motor neurone disease but not at the expense of human embryos." Sadly, in the UK, the life of the unborn is still treated like some sort of Nazi experiment, while the Bible is quite clear on the subject, that God cares for these children, if no-one else does. Israel Peace Treaty 8/2/05 |
Israel and the Palestinians have
declared a truce.
Quote: "A new opportunity for peace is born today in the city of peace. Let's pledge to protect it," Abbas said, referring to the nickname of Sharm el-Sheik earned through past peace summits. Although we are glad there may be a measure of peace in the Middle East today, the Bible declares the end result, that peace will be will be short-lived. 1st Thessalonians 5:3 Only when the Prince of Peace comes (Isaiah 9:6-7), will there be true and lasting peace for all. Mark of the Beast Corpses get "tagged" 7/02/05 |
Cadavers are just one of many
(pets, refugees, criminals, soldiers) which may now be receiving some sort
of identification
tag, whether it's an RFID chip, or a barcode. Quote: "The high-tech fix is one of a number of reforms

Lawlessness Pubs open 24 hours - UK 7/02/05 |
