Dear friends, WOMEN’S PRAYER VIGIL FOR MARYAM AND MARZIEH IN PRISON SOLEY FOR THEIR LOVE OF GOD SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER; 12.30 p.m. till 09.30 p.m. (Six months since their arrest) Click here to download a PDF flier for the event. On September 12th our beloved sisters Maryam and Marzieh will have had their freedom stolen from them for over six months. Their only ‘crime’ is that they love Jesus Christ. They are suffering unjustly, and God hears those who pray for the innocent. Please join us in front of the Iranian Embassy on September 12th, the anniversary of their arrest, for a prayer vigil from 12.30 p.m to 09.30 p.m. We want the Iranian authorities to know that we are waiting in silence and kneeling in prayer before the God of justice – for Maryam and Marzieh and all others held unfairly in Iranian prisons. In the evening we will light over 187 candles, one for every day they have suffered. Please do not bring any candles as we will supply you with one. Please note this will be a quiet prayer meeting and there will be no speeches or talking or leafleting: only meditating and praying. This prayer vigil is for women and we would invite you to wear a white dress which covers your arms and legs, and a simple scarf to cover your hair. Men are welcome to come too, but we would ask them to stand there separately. We also invite you to pray before coming to the gathering and preferably fast on the day so that our presence there be supported by the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ and Our heavenly Father. Health and Safety issues: the police have asked us to make sure that no candle wax is poured on the street, no slogans shouted on the day and that the general public’s safety and rights as to using the pavements and roads are respected. We would appreciate your cooperation with us to make sure these requirements are met. You may want to have pictures of Maryam and Marzieh printed on your shirts. Please avoid bringing any Iranian flags of current and past regimes. You may however want to have a neutral flag of Iran printed on your shirt. We thank you and pray that God may shine his light in Iran and open closed doors for his unjustly persecuted children.Yours for Maryam and Marzieh. Attieh Fard |
