"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." - 2 Corinthians 4:17 "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." - Philippians 3:20 Living a Christian life in our world today is immensely challenging. In fact, this has been true in all generations since the early church started. But Christians should not look at life from a persecution point of view. We should rather rely on Christ, our Lord, and experience the joy of His presence in our heart every moment of our life. Apostle Paul and Silas rejoiced in the Philippian prison and sang hymns at midnight. Our light affliction on earth, even though it may not seem light, is but for a moment. Yes, compared to eternity that's waiting for us, Christians, it is just for a moment. Remember, our citizenship is in heaven. Christ will return to put an end to all afflictions, and take us home. Until then, keep looking up. Rejoice in the Lord always! Praise the Lord!
