"Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ." - Philippians 3:8
"Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." - Jude :21
There are perhaps many accomplishments in life that we may feel good about. For some of these accomplishments may have worked hard to earn it versus rest we may have inherited or were gifted. We should thank God for all His blessings and never let our blessings make us think highly of ourselves. Apostle Paul had everything to boast about from a spiritual blessings side, but rather he preferred to count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ. He counted all the things as loss in order to gain Christ. It takes a lot of humility and spiritual maturity to reach a state that Apostle Paul had reached. Irrespective of where we are in our spiritual journey we can keep striving for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord. Let's keep ourselves in the love of God and keep marching forward in our spiritual walk to become more like Jesus. Remember, Jesus has overcome the world and He will give us rest.
Praise the Lord!
