"The Lord planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed." - Genesis 2:8
"And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." - Revelation 21:10
After creation, God placed man in a garden. This was a beautiful garden and there was no lack of anything. But with the first sin, the creation of God was corrupted, and the beautiful garden of Eden ceased to exist. However, God has a plan for His chosen people. In the book of Revelation we see God's people will live in a beautiful city, the holy Jerusalem that will descend from God. This is God's final plan for His chosen people. Sin destroyed all hope temporarily, but God's mercy and grace abounded beyond measure. He has given us the hope of eternal life, in His presence, in a beautiful city.
Praise the Lord!
