"I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; it has melted within Me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death." - Psalm 22:14,15
"Just as many were astonished at you, so His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men." - Isaiah 52:14
Jesus Christ our Lord suffered under wicked me. He was scourged and beaten beyond recognition. His agony started in Gethsemane and ended with His death on the cross. He was tortured by the Roman soldiers beyond imagination. Yet, He did not open His mouth, nor got angry at those who tortured Him. The Son of God, being perfectly obedient to the Father, stayed on the cross, suffered under men and God, until He yielded His Spirit to the Father. As a result of His suffering we now have redemption from sin and death. Praise the glory belong to the Lord most High, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord!
