"But the Lord said to him, 'Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake.' " - Acts 9:15
God wants our whole self in serving Him. He doesn't want half hearted service, but He expects a full commitment in following Him. When the rich man, who claimed to keep all the law, asked Jesus about how to inherit eternal life, Jesus' answer to Him was straightforward, 'Go sell everything you have and give it to the poor, and then come follow-me'. This offended the rich man and He chose to go his own way rather than following Jesus. We belong to God, and Christ bought us with the price of His own blood. Apostle Paul died serving the Lord. He gave his whole self in serving God and preaching the gospel. He suffered greatly throughout his life after he became a believer in Jesus Christ. Let's not be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Let's give all our whole self to Him.
