| "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." - John 19:30
"Then He who sat on the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new.' And He said to me, 'Write, for these words are true and faithful.' And He said to me, 'It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.' " - Revelation 21:5,6
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He gave up His Spirit to the Father with the words, "It is Finished". He paid the price for the sin of mankind thereby reconciled the world to the Father. Now, all those who put their trust in Christ will receive the pardon from their sins and will receive the gift of eternal life. Redemption has been accomplished and salvation is a finished deal for those who believe. But those who reject the gospel and the free grace of God, there awaits a final judgment, the result of which is the second death. Those not found in the book of life will be eternally separated from God and the Bible calls it, the second death. Christ will make all things new and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The elect of God will enter into His rest to inherit all things and there will be joy in the presence of God. The creator will restore all things to the former glory, and for His glory, and this is when we will hear from Him, "It is done!"
Put your trust in the Savior. Receive Him into your life by believing in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
