| "Jesus said to them. 'Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes;' ' " - Matthew 21:42
"having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone." - Ephesians 2:20
Jesus Christ was rejected by His own people. They did not realize whom they were rejecting. In fact, the very stone that was rejected became the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone. The foundation of the church stands on this corner stone and God even through the rejection of Christ has brought glory to His own name. This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
