"So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." - Revelation 12:9
Satan was a beautiful angel of God. He was in the presence of God until iniquity was found in him. Satan wanted to be God, though a created being. With his rebellion, he was cast out of heaven from his former position. One day, Satan will be judged and eternally cast into the lake of fire. Man has also rebelled against God by sinning. The first sin of disobedience was allured by Satan to make man like God. Satan's doom is sure, all those who follow Satan, their doom is sure as well. But those who trust Christ, their future is secure in the presence of Christ.
