| "...Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." - Matthew 4:17
"Repent therefor and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." - Acts 3:19
Salvation begins with conviction of sin in the heart which leads to repentance. Genuine repentance is change in heart, mind, and action under the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is 180 degrees shift from sinfulness or sinful living and following God by faith. Repentance is the first step toward receiving the free grace through Jesus Christ our Lord. John the Baptist's message was for men to repent and prepare straight the way of our Lord.
