The deity of Jesus Christ was questioned and argued by many for many many years. But this is such an important point of Christian doctrine such that anyone not believing in Christ's deity is not a Christian. The Bible has several verses from the old testament outside of the claims of Jesus Himself to prove He and the Father are One. Jesus Christ took the form of flesh from His eternal abode and He became the most perfect man according to the perfect will of the Father. Jesus Christ is God in flesh, true God and true man.
