"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" - Matthew 16:26
Lord Jesus hit one of key points when it comes to living. We focus on things that produces maximum temporary gain, and sometime we overwork to gain extra wealth. But what shall a man do with all the riches of the world? World sees success in a person who has riches, but our Lord's point is that the soul of the person where it dwells in the next world is more important than the riches on earth. Eternity is a long of a time with no end and hence we rather live our life being faithful to God than being rich.
