| "And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt." - Daniel 12:2
"And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books." - Revelation 20:12
At the end of the millennium era of Christ's rule, God will raise up all the dead who ever lived. This is the great white throne judgment, and all great and small will be judged according to their works. Sadly, no one will be justified by their works because everyone will fall short of God's holy standard. Only those who trusted in Christ and received Him as Lord and Savior during their lifetime on earth, will be saved. All others will be condemned and eternally separated from God. There are two extremes when it comes to afterlife. One is eternal life in glory with Christ, and the other one is eternal shame and everlasting contempt. Blessed are the ones that have put their trust in Christ.
