| "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." - Matthew 5:6
"And Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.' " - John 6:35
When we are physically hungry or thirsty, we know where to go and satisfy our hunger and thirst. This is true in the spiritual sense as well. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, they shall be filled. But the source for bread and water here is our Lord Jesus Christ. He only can satisfy our spiritual needs and without Him we are left hungry and thirsty. Any other way to satisfy our spiritual hunger and thirst will be a vain effort. Only true food (in spiritual sense) can satisfy our hungry soul's desire. Turn to Christ and believe in Him and stay filled and quenched.
