The Israeli Defence Force is preparing a plan which will see 26 communities in Judea and Samaria uprooted within the coming months. IDF officials say that the plan could be implemented within a couple of weeks, after the Israeli government gives the go ahead. The 26 communities will be evacuated in stages, but despite this the IDF are expecting "extreme violence" from the settlers, and the operation could require several thousand soldiers just to evacuate a few dozen families. All of the communities listed were established after 2001, when then Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had promised the White House that he would evacuate the settlements. The reason for the rush to evacuate more settlements is due to pressure from the US, ahead of the upcoming international peace conference in November...

Quote: "Defense officials said that one of the reasons behind the sudden activity on the outpost issue was relentless American pressure on the government to begin taking steps to remove the illegal communities. According to officials, the Americans have been pressuring Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to evacuate the outposts since he took office last year. Sources in the Central Command said that plans were in place to begin evacuating as soon as the government issued the order. The plans are being drawn up by Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj.-Gen. Yosef Mishlav and will involve both Border Police and IDF troops. When the orders are given, the operation will be headed by the Central Command and the Judea and Samaria Police District.

Prime Minister Olmert has already made many concessions to the Palestinian Authority, releasing 250 Palestinian terrorists from jail, releasing $350 million in tax revenues, arming Abbas' presidential "security" force and pledging to remove security checkpoints in Judea and Samaria. Prime Minister Olmert had previously stated that Abbas would be surprised what he had to offer. But even his own party is surprised, and are complaining that the Prime Minister has not consulted them on the details of an agreement currently being worked out between him and President Abbas.

In order to gain support within Kadima and also with the general public, Olmert was planning to make a speech on September 20, during which he would outline the details of the planned agreement.

In Ezekiel 34, the Lord likens the nation of Israel His flock, which He has brought back to their own land to feed upon pleasant pastures. In this chapter the Lord warns the leaders of the nation that he will judge them on how they have treated His flock and the land in which He has caused them to dwell.  

Ezekiel 34:17-19
And [as for] you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. [Seemeth it] a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? And [as for] my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

The US government is urging Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to expel more families from their homes for the sake of peace with the Palestinians, while thousands of Israelis are still homeless and unemployed following the Gaza disengagement over two years ago. Most Israeli produce was once grown in the greenhouses of the Gaza Strip, but today the residue of those pastures are "fouled up", having been deserted by the Israeli government and dismantled by the Palestinians. Immediately following the disengagement from Gaza, the United States suffered its greatest ever natural catastrophe, in which the city of New Orleans was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. As the nations continue to press Israel into dividing God's land, there can be no doubt we will witness greater tragedies in the future. The Bible states that without righteousness, there can be no real peace.

2nd Samuel 23:3 
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men [must be] just, ruling in the fear of God.

Prime Minister Olmert has shown that there is no righteousness in this peace process, in releasing prisoners who have committed terrorist offences, and in funding and arming terrorist organizations bent on Israel's destruction. Zechariah prophesied of such a leader that would one day be raised up in Israel, an idol shepherd, who would not care for the flock but would scatter them upon the hills of Israel. Some Christians believe the following verses may speak of the Antichrist or False Prophet. In any case it's clear to see that Israeli leaders are now more concerned about achieving a political peace with their neighbours than they are about the well-being of their own people.

Zechariah 11:15-17
And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, [which] shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword [shall be] upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
