Presidential candidate Senator Hilary Clinton, wife of former US President Bill Clinton, has come under fire for her endorsement of a ex-anchorman who advocates handing the sovereignty of the United States to a global federalist government. This is what the former CBS newscaster, Walter Cronkite, had to say at his acceptance speech for the Norman Cousins Global Governance Award on October 19th, 1999...

They pander to and are supported by the Christian Coalition and the rest of the religious right wing. Their leader, Pat Robertson, has written that we should have a world government but only when the messiah arrives. Any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the Devil! This small but well-organized group, has intimidated both the Republican Party and the Clinton administration. It has attacked each of our Presidents since FDR for supporting the United Nations. Robertson explains that these Presidents were and are the unwitting agents of Lucifer. Following his speech, then First Lady Hilary Clinton gave Cronkite a ringing endorsement, stating, "For decades you told us 'the way it is,' but tonight we honour you for fighting for the way it could be". As WorldNetDaily reports, Senator Clinton has so far refused to address the issue of the North American Union during her presidential campaign. President Bush is pushing through legislation that will see a European Union style alliance emerge in North America, without the approval of the American public. As we can see from the above speech, politicians, non-governmental organizations and media moguls are not only bent on establishing a New World Order behind our backs, but Christians that must oppose such a plan on Biblical principles are seen as the number one enemy. For the Bible states there will be a global government during the tribulation period, which will be headed by a man, the Antichrist, who will scatter the power of the holy people. As we can see by Scripture, the very fact that news anchors, who are supposed to report news and have no views of their own, are advocating the creation of a global federalist government - in opposition to the will of the people, especially Christians - shows us that we are now living in the last days, and that these things must shortly come to pass.
