European leaders from the countries that have successfully ratified the EU Constitution are gathering in Madrid today, to discuss ways in which the document can be adopted with as few changes as possible. German Chancellor Angela Merkel is concerned that the meeting could divide European opinion on the constitution. Merkel has already stated that Germany will attempt to revive the constitution during its presidency of the EU. Quote: "In a joint article published in a number of European newspapers, Spain's Alberto Navarro and Luxembourg's Nicolas Schmit say that in today's globalised world "a united and capable Europe is more necessary than ever". "We cannot resign ourselves to Europe being no more than a huge market or a free trade area," they write. "We want a political Europe that can speak with one voice, and with one minister of foreign affairs and a common foreign service." Once again I hear that phrase "one voice". Javier Solana, the High Representative for the European Common, Foreign and Security Policy, has used the phrase several times, in relation to EU energy resources, in relation to Europe's representation on the UN Security Council. And of course EU propaganda proudly proclaims that Europe has many languages, but speaks with one voice. Of course the voice has to belong to an individual, and sooner or later they will get what they want. Only this "one voice" will speak blasphemy against God until his time is accomplished.
